Hose bib and drip units come in three tank sizes:

  3/4 gallon (2.8 liters)

  1.0 gallon (3.7 liters)
  2 gallons (7.6 liters)

Choosing the Best EZ-FLO System for Your Application

There are two series of EZ-FLO Hose and Drip Systems available.  The 1000 series can be installed in both constant pressure and on/off pressure applications.

The 2000 series can only be installed in on/off pressure applications where the system is only under pressure when it is in use.  Please see the following examples.

In this installation a 1000 series system is installed on a hose  or drip system in front of a multi zone timer and is under pressure at all times (constant pressure - 1000 series only).  The system will feed through any sprinklers, sprayers or drip emitters that are connected to the timer, each time a zone is watered.  One system can conveniently feed all of the areas automatically.  The systems come complete with all the components needed to connect to a garden hose connection.

In this installation a 1000 or 2000 series system is installed on a hose or drip system and is only under pressure when the water is turned on (on/off pressure). The system will feed through any sprinklers, sprayers or drip systems that are connected to the garden hose or drip system.  The systems come complete with all the components needed to connect to a garden hose connection.

In this installation a 1000 or 2000 series system is installed on one zone of an underground irrigation system and is only under pressure when the irrigation zone is turned on (on/off pressure).  The system will feed through any sprinklers or drip emitters that are connected to the irrigation zone.  The systems come complete with all of the components needed for installation into an irrigation zone except for the connector that glues into the irrigation pipe which is sold separately.  An EZ-FLO Ball Valve Coupling the same the size as the irrigation line is required for this installation.

EZ-FLO Hose and Drip Systems are Easy to Install and Easy to Use

EZ-FLO Hose and Drip systems can be installed in minutes by the average homeowner and are great for use when you don't have a dedicated irrigation system or want to separately address certain types of plants that require specialty garden fertilizers and supplements.

The standard hose installation includes the hose bib adapter. If the hose bib is not separately protected from backflow then a standard anti-siphon valve will also need to be purchased (Part #3050). In order to convert a Hose and Drip feeder to single sprinkler zone  connection, a separate EZ-FLO Ball Valve Coupling connection  is available for purchase. Examples of Devices that Can be Used with a Hose and Drip System

There are many end devices that can distribute fertilizer and supplements to your landscape including your favorite hand-held spray nozzles and lawns sprinklers and as well as single zone spray, micro spray and drip emitters.

All in all, a very flexible system for many homeowners, nurseries and growers.

Models and Sizes

EZ-FLO manufactures three sizes of Hose and Drip systems with the size of the unit being the capacity of the holding tank for the concentrated fertilizer. EZ-FLO manufactures units in the following tank sizes:

Specification Sheets

EZ 1010-HB 1.0 gallon (3.7 liters)
EZ 2005-HB .75 gallons (2.8  liters)
EZ 2020-HB 2 gallons (7.6  liters)

Fertilizer Distribution Rates

EZ-FLO's patented flow technologies ensure that the approximate proportion of fertilizer to water remains constant from the beginning of the cycle until the tank is depleted of fertilizer. There is generally slight dilution when the tank is almost empty and at the end of its fertilization cycle.  For a detailed look at how EZ-FLO's technology works see our Technical Specifications. All EZ-FLO fertigation units have an adjustable cap with four basic settings relating to the amount of fertilizer mixed with the water.  The proportioning rate is determined by the connection type with the hose bib connection feeding at a faster rate than when a coupling connection is used.  Feed rates are approximate and will vary by product due to product density and solubility.
